Most kundli sites ask for a birth time they assume you already have. Most people do not have it, at least not to the minute. BirthIQ exists to work out that missing number properly, and to be honest about how sure it is.

The problem

Your birth time sets your ascendant, and the ascendant is the frame the entire chart hangs on. Move the time by ten or fifteen minutes and your navamsa sign can change, planets can cross house boundaries, and the start and end of your Vimshottari dasha periods shift. A rounded off hospital time or a relative's recollection is often wrong by more than that, which means a chart built on it is answering the wrong question, confidently.

How the rectification works

The method is closer to search than to interpretation, and it runs in four steps.

• Start from what you actually know. You give the widest window you are certain the birth falls inside. A full 24 hours is a legitimate starting point.
• Build every candidate chart. Rather than picking one time and hoping, we compute a chart for each candidate time across that window.
• Score each one against your life. You supply real dated events, a marriage, a job change, a move, a bereavement, a serious accident. Each candidate chart is checked against whether its dasha periods and transits line up with those dates.
• Report a best estimate, with its window. The output is a single most likely time, the range around it that your events actually support, and the reasoning behind both.

What it runs on

The astronomy is not approximated and it is not borrowed from a generic astrology library. Positions come from NASA JPL DE440, the same planetary ephemeris used for professional astronomy, and everything above it is our own implementation: the Lahiri ayanamsa, the divisional charts (D1, D9, D10 and D60), the Vimshottari dasha calculations, and the search and scoring across candidate times.

The rectification itself is deterministic. There is no language model anywhere in it. The same inputs always produce the same result, and every result can be traced back to the specific events and rules that produced it. That is what lets us show you the reasoning instead of asking you to trust a black box.

What we will not claim

A site in this field earns trust mostly by refusing to overstate, so here is the refusing.

• We will not hand you a single stamped minute when your events only support a half hour window. You get the width your evidence actually justifies.
• We will not pretend astrological interpretation is settled science. The astronomy is precise. What it is taken to mean is tradition, and we present it as such.
• We will not invent testimonials, star ratings or user counts. If you do not see social proof on this site, that is why.
• We will not tell you the result is good when the evidence is thin. A weak result says so, and tells you which kind of event would sharpen it.

Who builds it

BirthIQ is built and maintained by one engineer, working on it independently rather than as a company with a marketing department behind it. The engine was written from the ground up rather than wrapped around an existing astrology package, which was the slower path and the reason the reasoning behind a result can be shown to you line by line.

The astrology is not left to the engineer. Ms. S. M. Acharjee, a practicing Vedic astrologer with more than ten years of experience, works on BirthIQ alongside the build and reviews the engine's output against traditional reading practice. That review is ongoing rather than a one time sign off: the charts, the dasha readings and the wording of a result get checked as the tool changes.

Why it is free

The rectification and your full kundli cost nothing and require no card, because a chart built on a guessed birth time is not worth charging for and the fix should not be behind a paywall. An optional written reading of your rectified chart is the paid product, if you want one later.
